Rittman United Methodist Church Preschool (previously known as RUMC Nursery School) was founded in 1975, as a mission of RUMC. We serve families in Rittman and its surrounding communities. We provide quality play-based early learning experiences in a Christian environment.
Program
Preschool and Pre-K classes for children ages 3-5 years old.
Classes are Tuesday through Thursday from 9 AM – 11:30 AM (September – May).
Tuition is $110 for all classes.
Developmentally appropriate hands-on learning activities.
Informal assessments twice a school year (fall and spring).
Educated and experienced teachers who complete 10+ hours of training yearly; all are trained in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease Recognition and Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention.
Licensed by Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
Curriculum
Christian curriculum, the core of our program, incorporates Bible stories, verses, and songs to help children learn about God’s Word and grow in God’s love for them.
Activities which incorporate Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards, same standards that public schools follow.
Play-based education that prepares children for kindergarten while still allowing them to be children.
Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum for all enrolled children.
